Reviews For ARCONA ReOzone SPF 40
Former Holy Grail but reformulation forced me to move on
This was my HOLY GRAIL of facial sunscreen! The one! For years. And I have not found anything comparable before or since. I am very fair with sensitive thin skin and require constant and thorough sun protection. I wore it as a sunscreen. I wore it as a foundation. I wore it as a skin tint. I wore it as a primer. I wore it as a pore and line minimizer. Because the original Reozone made my skin look and feel silky-smooth, non-greasy, and perfectly matte enough to reduce the appearance of pores and lines but with just enough dewiness to look like natural skin. I cannot count the number of times that I received compliments about how "flawless" my skin appeared. The tint was just light enough to work for us very fair folk and the "slip" and texture made it easy to apply and set up. It never oxidized or turned orange. Unfortunately, Arcona's reformulation removed most of the redeeming features from Reozone 40. My Holy Grail was desecrated. The product's consistency changed from slip to tacky. The slip is lost, so the product won't blend out and it oxidizes quickly. The shade is now darker and the tone more orange which, unfortunately, makes it too dark for users with very fair to light colored skin but also too light for anyone with deep or dark colored skin. Basically, Arcona has succeeded in segregating their user demographic to a limited color range somewhere in the middle which just happens to be the demographic on which MOST other brands that manufacture tinted sunscreen remain laser focused. As if we need more medium colored tinted sunscreen products flooding the market. You could just bring back the original formula and color/shade for us fair-skinned folks who loved it. Maybe you can keep this one for medium skin colors and add a better darker tint for deeper colored folks. RIP, Holy Grail. RIP
