Tricky to use but worth it
I use this product every 3-4 weeks to remove layers of dead skin and my blonde peach fuzz, which I’m sure no one but me notices but which drives me nuts. This is kind of hard to use, despite watching so many tutorials, but when I get it right, the results are great. I strongly recommend stopping all products and using a gentle cleanser for a few days before, otherwise it’s too harsh on my sensitive skin and I turn red for 1-2 days and occasionally have acne due to the irritation. But practice makes perfect, and I hope after a few more months that it’ll get easier for me to use. I don’t use the cleanser are cream that are included because I’m so sensitive and afraid of new products, so maybe that’s why it is sometimes irritating. Still worth it to get ride of that annoying peach fuzz on my jaw, lip, and cheeks!

I've used the Dermaflash Luxe 4 times now and each time was an improvement. It does take some practice to get the proper technique. The 1st and 2nd time I used it I didn't do a very good job and the 3rd time I used it I was too aggressive. The last time was the charm. I don't feel it does as good a job as a professional dermaplane but it has already paid for itself and I'm confident I'll get better with each use.

I gave this four stars only because I still have the cleanser and cream from my original order. Not sure why refills have to include the cleanser and cream with each order.

I bought the Dermaflash luxe because I don’t like spending upwards of $75 for a single similar treatment. It has taken me a while to get good at it, so I wanted to by the replenishment kit to keep practicing. I’ve also cut myself a couple of times. So you need to be careful. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars vs 5.

I have been using the Dermaflash for a few months and love the way my skin feels after using this. It’s much less expensive and almost as good as a salon treatment. The replacement blades have been uniform in quality. On the negative side they are packaged in heavy plastic that is not recyclable. I didn’t realize how expensive it would be to replace the blade weekly. The face wash and moisturizer are just ok. Nothing special really.
