Understated performer?
I am in my 40s and had been using a different brand of 10% glycolic lotion on my combination skin. I switched to this product about two weeks ago. Because of the instructions to start slowly with this product, I was afraid that it would be more irritating than my prior product. With my other product, I had a very slight tingling upon application. In comparison, this product gave me no sensation at all, to the point where I was wondering if I was applying enough (the instruction is to use a "very thin layer" ). Perhaps I tolerate this formula very well. I think that it must be effective because my skin texture remains smoother than if I were doing without a glycolic acid treatment during this timeframe. The product itself feels like I am applying aloe-based moisturizer, and it absorbs well without leaving a tacky coating. Unlike another brand of glycolic acid treatment that I've used, this product doesn't create a sour odor when it reacts with my skin. There are other glycolic treatments that are also odorless on contact (I've tried several brands), so this isn't unique in that regard, but for me, it's still worthy of note.

I dont know if this has actually helped with lines/wrinkles, but it has definitely smoothed my skins texture and has helped control my adult acne breakouts (I just turned 30 and still have the acne of a 14 year old). I have been using this in combination with Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic Acid 10% Toning Complex + Benzoyl Peroxide acne cream at least once per day for the past 3.75 months (and only the glycolic acid products every other night or longer if it irritates my skin), and my acne has definitely cleared for the first time in years. I still get a pimple every now and then, but it is nothing like it was before I started using using these glycolic acid products. However, please beware that one must take this glycolic regiment slowly because it can easily irritate ones skin. I should add that my skin is still oily, but I am content with clear skin and a shiny face! Also, the size of my pores have definitely decreased, but it is not like they have disappeared completely (they dont look clogged).

im combination skin with oily t-zone, hyperpigmentation, some sensitivity and hormonal breakouts. i hope that this product clears up my face. i use it every night for the first 2 weeks and then everyday. i have no problem with it.
