The formula helps unclog pores to reduce excess oil production and allow the complexion to heal properly. This acne treatment product also contains Tea Tree Oil, a proven antibacterial ingredient that is derived naturally. Together, these two ingredients help reduce blemishes and prevent them from coming back. You can use this product on areas that are prone to breakouts to help keep the complexion clear and healthy.

Cleanse skin thoroughly before applying medication. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because too much drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two to three times daily if needed, or as directed by a physician. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce frequency of application to once a day or every other day. If going outside, use a sunscreen. Allow benzoyl peroxide product to dry, then follow the directions in the sunscreen labeling. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of both products and consult a physician.
Sensitivity Test for a New User: Apply product sparingly to one or two small areas during the first three days. If no discomfort occurs, follow the directions stated above.

I mix this product with prescription topical clindamycin to prevent breakouts. I used to break out into hormonal acne every month, but this product with the clindamycin keeps everything at bay. It absorbs nicely with the clindamycin and is non-drying. This product will not be as effective alone, however if you''re looking for a nice benzoyl peroxide formulation, I definitely recommend this one.

I used this product for 2 years, after Proactiv stopped working for me for 6 years. I am taking one star off because it can be overly drying especially because i used it twice a day. In colder season, no matter how much i moisturize you can see lines almost wrinkle like because the product dries up my skin. A tip for current users, apply this product fast because if you dont it will get into pebble like so you need to evenly distribute it to your skin. Also, make sure you do not have tissue residue or it will interfere with the application.
