Whether you like to get spooky or silly for Halloween, it’s important to create your look with products that don’t compromise the health of your skin and hair. Transform into a unicorn, a giraffe or Mary Poppins this year with these Halloween makeup tutorials featuring some of our favorite products!
Take a journey this year and create a one of a kind, sparkly and sweet look by following this unicorn Halloween makeup tutorial!
Step 1: Begin with a liquid highlighter like bareMinerals barePro Glow Highlighter. In a backwards “three” shape, apply to the cheeks, jawline and hairline. Hailey used shades “Free” and “Joy” for a multi-dimensional effect. Next, add a neutral blush to the cheeks and hairline. Hailey chose jane iredale PurePressed Blush in the shade “Mocha.” Then intensify your glitz with a complementary shade like “Pink” from the Youngblood Illuminate Highlighting Palette.
Step 2: Then it’s time to get sparkly! Begin by adding a sparkle shadow to the lids in a light shade. Hailey started with stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow – Duo Chrome in the shade “Perlina,” a subtle white, as a base. Then, she blended in “Sea Siren,” a shimmery lavender. As a finishing touch, she applied Osmosis Colour Water Color High Intensity Loose Shadow in the shade “Azure” to the lash lane.
Step 3: Next, build the shimmer up on the cheeks and temples. Hailey used stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in shade “Gypsy,” stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow – Duo Chrome in the shade “Sunset Cove,” stila Glitter & Glow Highlighter in shade “Kitten” and stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in “Freedom.” Add to the bridge of the nose and the hairline to deeply intensify the shimmer. Then, it’s time to glitter-fy your brows! Hailey used shades “Perlina” and “Freedom.”
Step 4: Finally, add a luxurious gold to your look with the SENNA Ultra Last Eyeliner in shade “Sun Gold.” While you can use it to line your waterline or your lids, Hailey used it to highlight her brow bone and line her lips. Then choose a lip shade. She chose the shade “Bombshell” in the Glo Skin Beauty Suede Matte Crayon. Finally, bring the look together with some more shimmer! Hailey created a pop with the stila Glitterati Lip Top Coat in the shade “Entice.”
Step 5 (Optional): For any spots that need a little extra glitz, use the bareMinerals Crystalline Glow Duo Chrome Highlighter Stick. Hailey used the shade “Iridescent Quartz.”
Step 1: Begin with a pre-fabricated unicorn horn. Hailey made hers out of foil! Prep hair with the IGK Foamo Holographic Hair Foam in the shade “Moon Rock.” Then, pull down a small section of hair and attach the horn to the top of the head using bobby pins. Add a little color to your strands with the IGK Girls Club Color Spray and IGK Sutro Ombre Color Spray and wrap each strand around the horn, pinning it into place.
Step 2: Curl remaining hair with a curling iron or flat iron like the CHI AIR EXPERT Classic Tourmaline Ceramic 3-in-1 Styling Iron, finishing with a high-hold spray like the Kenra Professional Volume Spray 25. Pull hair into a ponytail and voila!
No two giraffes have the same spots. Create a unique-to-you look and transform into a glam giraffe this Halloween!
Step 1: Correct any imperfections or discolorations with a concealer. We love the Glo Skin Beauty Corrective Camouflage Kit because it offers four different shade options to cover a variety of concerns. Brooke used the shades “Neutral” and “Yellow.”
Step 2: Contour the jawline, apples of the cheeks, hairline and nose beginning with a light contour shade and building coverage. Brooke used the Glo Skin Beauty Contour Kit in Medium to Dark. To create a giraffe-like orange, build color over top. Brooke used the Dermablend Quick Fix Color-Correcting Powder Pigment in “Orange” and darkened up her nose with a deep shadow, the Au Naturale Crème de la Crème Eye Shadow in shade “Coffee.”
Step 3: To give your look some glam, add shadow to the lids. Brooke chose jane iredale Smooth Affair for Eyes in the shade “Iced Brown” and Au Naturale Crème de la Creme Eye Shadow in “Palma.” Then, she added the “Shimmer Highlight” shade from the Glo Skin Beauty Contour Kit she used earlier to add some dimension.
Step 4: Define your eyes with a black liner on the lash line like the Glo Skin Beauty Precision Eye Pencil in “Black” and accentuate your lashes with a volumizing mascara like the Youngblood Outrageous Lashes Full Volume Mascara.
Step 5: Now it’s time to create your spots! Create unique shapes on the forehead and down one side of the face onto the neck and décolleté with a brown eyeliner like Dr.Hauschka Eye Definer in shade “02 – Brown.” Then, give them a little shimmer! Brooke chose stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in "Smoldering Satin."
Step 6: Finally, intensify your lip with a neutral pink lipstick. Brooke used the bareMinerals Statement Matte Liquid Lipcolor in “Icon.” Then, she added the Au Naturale Crème de la Creme Eye Shadow in “Coffee” that she used earlier and stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in “Twig” to her top lip only. Finish with a makeup setting spray like jane iredale POMMISST Hydration Spray.
Step 1: Part hair down the center and pull small sections into pigtails, leaving the bottom half of your hair down. Wrap each pigtail around itself and secure with bobby pins or a ponytail.
