Not sure if this is the way the product is supposed to be, but it’s strange like the ingredients somehow “separate”… so the tinted cream would come out and separate from that would be clear oil. I would normally mix these on the palm of my hand before applying. No other EltaMD tinted sunscreen did that.

I am disappointed in these 2 products and will not buy Elta MD sunscreen again. I was told by my dermatologist to use only mineral based sunscreens. I received a sample of Elta MD tinted sunscreen from LovelySkin which seemed to work well and I have ordered both it and the untinted product. They separate, coming out with a heavy cream and a smaller portion of clear liquid? The customer service rep at LovelySkin said these products were prone to "separation" and to shake the container. The container is a sort of canister and does not respond to "shaking" . LovelySkin replaced the tinted version. However, both the replacement (tinted) and the untinted versions both separate.

I’m an Elta fan and prone to breakouts even at 59. This adds hydration and a nice natural glow to my skin I apply after my favorite serums, add some blush and mascara and I’m good to go! Sometimes I will mix with a bit of oil free foundation for extra coverage when needed. I use a make up sponge and apply the Elta glow to my hand and mix a bit then dab with the sponge to my face for en even application .

I love Elta products, just not this one. The tint is too orange-y for my freckled, Fitzpatrick 2 face. It's also much thicker than any other sunscreen I have tried, especially from Elta. It doesn't leave a white residue on me and it *is* good coverage, it's just too thick and sticky for me to use on my face every day. I will still use it though, obviously because I won't let it go to waste. Thinking my arms when it gets closer to summer.

Recently when I switched to the Glow I noticed that eventually the cream seems to separate from whatever oils are in the cream which makes it very difficult to apply. I have also used the Elta MD Restore version and have not had a problem with that one, guess I will start using that one again. I wanted to give the Glow a try.
