LovelySkin sent me a sample of this product and the PreCleanse. I've never combined cleansing products before, and have historically used glycolic-based cleansers. I was amazed at how well these two products combined made my skin feel. I live in a hard water area, so getting my skin clean without it feeling tight/stripped can often be challenging. I felt that my skin came away cleaner and with no residue. My day and evening moisturizers, retinols etc. all seemed to work better as well. You don't need to use a lot of Special Cleansing Gel. I find a dime-sized amount generates plenty of cleaning power, and much beyond that is wasteful.

This is a gentle cleanser and an effective one to use during my pregnancy. I had to switch from my usual cleansing routine due to the pregnancy and this one does a good job of cleaning off my makeup (after double cleansing with an oil first) using a Clarisonic brush.
