I have been using this for a long long time. I get the golden and I usually use both colors. You can blend them or use separately. I have not found it to cake but you only use a little. I have used Glo products for several years, and this one is like my "old reliable." It is very flexible–you "mix" the colors to get exactly the shade to match your skin and conceal what you need concealed. You can go lighter for one area and darker for another with one product.
