Nice exfoliation and great for skin issues
This skin medica aha/bha cream provides my skin a nice hydration and exfoliation in one step. It can be applied any time of day, but I use daily after washing face and before applying makeup twice daily. It doesn’t adversely interfere with any of my other products. It leaves my skin feeling clean and smooth and you don’t need much. I spray my face with Avene water and then apply the aha/ bha right out of the shower. This helps it spread more evenly and I use less. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin coupled with severe auto immune issues. But be aware it does burn a little and briefly upon application upon first use. After that you no longer feel unless you have a sore or raw spot on skin. I find it clears out pores and clears up acne and uneven skin tone. I have very fair problematic skin so this is important to me. I’m almost through my first tube and I would reorder. However, one caveat is it has too many ingredients than I’m used to, but with that said, my skin was freaking out and I had nothing to lose so I’m happy I gave it a try! Final note, I also paired it with my skin medica retinol and I had no adverse reaction. I highly recommend for these reasons.

Smooth Skin
I love that this has both lactic and glycolic AHAs in the same cream because it helps with hyper pigmentation in multiple ways. More than that it’s also great for cleaning out your pores and acne because it has BHA in it. It is a soft velvety cream for easy nighttime application. My skin feels noticeably softer when I wash my face in the morning. Just have to be extra diligent about sun protection because of AHAs. I’ve been using it three nights per week, as I use vitamin A on the alternate nights.

I have normal, slightly dry skin at 62. My main concerns are: lightening sun spots, clearing occasional comedones on the chin area, and wanting a brighter complexion. I loved the Obagi-C Vitamin C cream initially, but I really think it was mainly that it felt and smelled divine! It didn't really address my concerns. I’ve been using this product less than one month and I really like it. My skin looks and feels softer, roughness near the outer edges of my cheeks is almost gone! I have noticed a bit of redness and irritation mid chin and along the edges of my nose so I have avoided applying it in those areas and that has helped. Only takes a small amount. It has not helped as much with the appearance of large pores so I will be looking for something to add for that.
