Transform yourself into the petrifying monster Medusa this Halloween with this easy makeup tutorial.
In Greek mythology, Medusa was a monster with snakes growing out of her head who could turn onlookers into stone. With just makeup, fishnet stockings and a few plastic snakes, you can easily recreate this monstrous look.
Apply a liquid foundation over your entire face to even out your skin tone and create a solid base for your makeup. Then, fill in your brows with a dark brow pencil.
Use an eye primer on your entire lid. Using an eyeshadow brush and black shadow, draw a line from the corner of your eye to your hairline. Pull the line into your eyelid and underneath your eye and blend well. Next, use a gold shimmer shadow and pack the color into your lid.
Using a green gel eyeliner, line the inside corner of your eyes. Finish by lining the rest of your eyes with a black eyeliner and applying two coats of volumizing mascara.
To create Medusa’s scales, use a fishnet stocking and stretch it across the black eyeshadow on your temples. Use a fluffy brush and apply the shadow over the fishnets. This will give the look of snake scales. You can carry this look around your entire hairline for a bolder look.
Apply a soft peach blush to your cheeks and a nude lipstick.
For your hair, braid sections of your hair and put it into a high and loose updo. Loop plastic snakes through your hair, with the heads of the snakes framing your face. The more snakes you can fit in your hair, the better!
Finish your look with an outfit of green, gold and black and be prepared to turn your friends to stone.
