Sweat-proof makeup tutorial
First Shawn begins by applying the jane iredale Smooth Affair Mattifying Primer, which helps to mattify skin and control shine. Next, he applies the jane iredale Dream Tint to even skin tone and help create a natural, non-cakey look. The third step in this sweat-resistant makeup look is the jane iredale PurePressed Base SPF 15/20, which Shawn spritzes lightly with jane iredale POMMIST Hydration Spray to set powder foundation and help boost the formula’s longevity.
Next, Shawn applies the jane iredale PureMatch Liquid Concealer under the eyes to minimize discoloration and stipples it on the skin to cover any imperfections. He says that the formula helps to provide light coverage and leaves a matte, rather than a luminous finish, which is perfect for steamy summer days. He follows up with jane iredale PurePressed Blush in Flourish along the apples of the cheeks and up into the temples, a technique that helps lift the facial contour. To help sculpt and add warmth, Shawn applies jane iredale PureBronze Matte Bronzer on the high points of the face, as well as on the neck.
For the eyes, Shawn uses the jane iredale ColorLuxe Eyeshadow Stick and applies it all over the eyelids and on the lower lash line. He adds a pop of highlight with jane iredale PurePressed Eyeshadow in Bone to the inner corners of the eyes and applies jane iredale Beyond Lash Volumizing Mascara just to the upper lash line. Applying just to the upper lash line helps create a natural “open-eye” look. Shawn mentions that it’s a great mascara choice for summer because it’s long-lasting and water resistant, helping to round out a sweat resistant makeup look.
