3 Red Carpet-Worthy Makeup Looks for Your Next Big Event

The most important event in Hollywood is coming up fast, and that means one thing: stargazing. We can’t wait to see our favorite actresses in the best styles of the year! In the meantime, to satisfy our longing for all things glam, we decided to create three red carpet-worthy makeup looks for you to try out at home. They’re perfect for any of your own big celebrations, but remember, you don’t need a special occasion to look and feel like a leading lady.

In every look, you’ll find a Mirabella product that will become a staple in your makeup bag. The Mirabella brand is based on “makeup with personality.” The company has focused on curating the best of the best items to fit your every mood and need. Perfect for our red carpet looks! Mirabella account manager, Emily, says “Mirabella has just what you need to get red carpet-ready—whatever woman you feel like being, you’ll find something that speaks to you.”

Daytime Glam

Lightened up looks can be just as glamorous as darker, more dramatic ones. It’s all about enhancing your natural radiance and really playing up your most youthful features. Think dewy cheeks and just enough oomph in the right places. A touch of eyeliner, bronzer and lip gloss can go a long way toward highlighting your fresh-faced beauty.

Daytime Glam

1). Apply foundation, and if you’d like, concealer. Kristen used bareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF 20 in the shade Bare Linen with the bareMinerals BareSkin Perfecting Face Brush for even, natural-looking coverage.

2). Grab a bronzer, like jane iredale So-Bronze in #3, and a fluffy dome brush and sweep it on the apples of your cheeks. Diffuse the color up toward your cheekbones for a softly defined, lifted appearance.

3). Good news—you only need one eyeshadow for this easy look! Use jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Taupe to define your crease. You can sweep a little of the shadow on your lids as well to conceal any veins, but be sure to concentrate the color in the crease for the best effect.

4). Use the jane iredale Eye Pencil in Basic Black to line your top lash line with a thin band. You may need to go over the line two or three times to darken up the hue. Lightly line just the outer third or so of your bottom lash line as well.

5). No falsies needed here. Just pick your favorite mascara (we chose jane iredale PureLash Lengthening Mascara) and give your top and bottom lashes a good coat or two.

6). Finish off your daytime glam with Mirabella Colour Luxe Lip Gloss in Sleek.

Classic Glam

There’s something so romantic about Old Hollywood glamor. The perfectly coifed waves, red lips and flirty lashes always manage to make us swoon. And we’re guessing we’re not the only ones because classic Hollywood glam is a red carpet hit year after year. You can never go wrong with an homage to timeless elegance.

Classic Glam

1). Start with your foundation and concealer of choice. Marie used bareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF 20 in Porcelain.

2). A gracious flush looks lovely, even if you won’t be giving an acceptance speech. Apply Mirabella Cheeky Blush in the shade Classy (very fitting!) to the apples of your cheeks with a dome brush, starting light and building the pigment.

3). Move on to eyes by grabbing jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Taupe and a fluffy brush. Lightly diffuse the shade in your crease using back and forth motions. You won’t want to stray far above or below this area, but you will want the hue to be pretty dark since cut-creases were all the rage back then. Next, apply Youngblood Pressed Individual Eyeshadow in the shade Alabaster to your entire lid.

4). Use Youngblood Eye-Mazing Liquid Liner Pen in Noir to line your upper lash line, creating a wing at the outer corner if you’d like. Leaving your lower lash line blank will help give the look a vintage, cat-like vibe.

5). Pick up Youngblood Outrageous Lashes Mineral Lengthening Mascara and give your top and bottom lashes two generous coats. Bonus Tip: For extra impact, try applying jane iredale PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner before mascara for added length and volume.

6). You’re almost ready for your close-up. Line your lips and fill them in with the Youngblood Lipliner Pencil in the shade Truly Red. Then apply a coat of Youngblood Lipstick in Vixen over the top. Don’t forget to blot!

Glitzy Glam

If you feel like pulling out all the stops, then we say go for it! A shimmery eye and bold lip don’t have to be mutually exclusive and can actually pair together quite nicely, particularly for an evening out. Pull back your hair and rock your glitziest glam with a simple ensemble in a solid neutral (like black or cream), and we guarantee that you’ll steal the show.

Glitzy Glam

1). Create a flawless complexion with your favorite foundation and concealer. Stepha used bareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF 20 in the shade Bare Porcelain and Mirabella Perfecting Concealer in I.

2). Define your cheekbones with bronzer. Pick up jane iredale So-Bronze in #3 on an angled contouring brush and apply, blending as you go. You’ll also want to sweep bronzer along your jaw and hairline for a high-fashion runway feel.

3). There are quite a few steps for this dramatic eye look, but we promise it’s simple. Start by applying Youngblood Pressed Individual Eyeshadow in Pink Diamond to the inner corner of your eyes, sweeping it up over the first third of your lid. Next, grab glo minerals Glo Eye Shadow in Twinkle and apply it to the rest of your eye lid, blending with the Pink Diamond for a gradient effect. Take a little jane iredale 24 Karat Gold Dust in Gold on a flat brush and gently pat it over the entire lid. You’re officially gilded! Define your crease with jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Taupe. Lastly, smudge a little Youngblood Pressed Individual Eyeshadow in Merlot along your lower lash line—be sparing with this plummy shade to avoid looking like you have an eye infection. When smudged tightly along the lash line, this hint of purple should catch the glint of gold shimmer and look stunning.

4). Give yourself a long, dramatic wing with the Mirabella Magic Marker Eyeliner Black.

5). If you want to go for false eyelashes, now is definitely the time, but applying a coat of jane iredale PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner, followed by a coat of jane iredale PureLash Lengthening Mascara will give a similar appearance.

6). Seal your glitzy look with a wine-inspired kiss. Line your lips with the Youngblood Lipliner Pencil in Pinot and then fill them in. Smooth on Youngblood Lipstick in Bistro over the top for a deep, berry-stained finale.
