Top off your spring makeup look with full, shapely lips. In this video tutorial, our aesthetician, Kristen, shares how to achieve a perfect pout in a few easy steps with products from LovelySkin.

Step 1

Choose a primer, cream concealer or liquid foundation to help prime your lips and create a neutral canvas for color. In our video, Kristen uses jane iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream. You can use your finger or a brush to smooth the product over your lips. Allow it to dry before moving on to Step 2.

Step 2

Choose a lip liner pencil that closely matches either the lip color you have chosen or your natural lip color. This will help you get a fuller, poutier look. We chose jane iredale Lip Definer Pencil in Rose. Start off by lining your bottom lip. Next, use the liner to draw an X on your Cupid’s bow. This ensures an even shape. Once you have drawn your X, you can line the rest of the upper lip.

Step 3

Fill in the rest of the lips with liner. This will help intensify the color, and it will also allow your lipstick to stay in place all day.

Step 4

Apply lipstick directly to lips, or use a brush, like jane iredale Retractable Lip Brush, to achieve even more precision. Kristen uses jane iredale PureMoist Lipstick in Renee in the video.

Step 5

For an extra plump and pouty look, choose a cream eyeshadow like jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Oyster, and use your finger to apply it to just the center of your lips. This acts as a highlighter, drawing attention to the fullest part of the lips and creating a plumper appearance. Be sure to rub your lips together to blend.
