I love this line, the balm and the spray are amazing for irritable skin, and rosacea. I bought the serum after trying a sample and really like it. It is very neutral, does not burn or feel greasy or heavy. It dries down smooth and even and it is not sticky or dewy. It seems to not strip any moisture and layers pretty well with other things. I think is it mildly calming, though not like the balm, quite different. I combine it with other things and am hoping it combines with the balm to heal my skin barrier over time and lessen rosacea symptoms.

I use the Avene Cicalfate Serum as a first layer under my daily SPF moisturizer, and the Avene Cicalfate cream at night. The combo has worked amazingly on repairing the moisture barrier of my dehydrated, sensitive skin. The serum does not cause me to break out and does not cause pilling under my moisturizer or makeup.

I bought this cuz I haven’t updated myself with the newer avene products. Still mad that they have gotten rid of some of my favorites. Gave it a try since my skin has been dried out this winter and it was on sale. Some serums can burn my sensitive skin. It doesn’t. Seems to add some hydration that isn’t temporary and isn’t causing pilling under my other products.
