After showering or bathing, take a single saturated ingrown hair pad and rub over waxed or shaved area. Use daily between waxing and shaving sessions to help keep skin smooth, soothed, and bump-free. Place the Poetic Waxing cup in a microwave oven and heat in 30 second intervals, until the wax is the consistency of thick honey. A full mug usually takes five to six 30-second intervals to melt the wax to the desired consistency. Actual heat times may vary depending on your microwave and the amount of wax in the mug. If the wax gets too cool during waxing, simply re-heat at 30-second intervals until ready. If wax is too thin, allow to cool and thicken in the microwave before removing. Before you begin, use a spatula to test the wax temperature on the inside of your wrist. Wax should be spreading consistency but not uncomfortably hot. The mug may be warm to touch so always remove from the microwave by using the handle. Cleanse the area to be waxed with Super Skin Cleanser on a cotton pad and blot area dry. Massage a light film of poetic pre- and post-waxing oil into skin, leaving skin slightly shiny but not greasy. Using spatula, apply wax in strips in direction of hair growth, using slight pressure. As soon as wax is firm yet still flexible, pull off quickly against hair growth. Apply pressure to area waxed immediately to reduce sting. If any hair remains, wait two to three minutes and reapply wax, using slightly more pressure. After waxing, cleanse skin with Poetic Waxing Super Skin Cleanser, then soothe with Pre- And Post-Waxing Oil.
