This sunscreen is lightly tinted which helps create a more even tone and diminish the look of imperfections. The formula is very lightweight and sheer so it does not look shiny and leaves the complexion with a matte finish. Physical sunscreen ingredients deflect UV rays to help protect against skin cancer and signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. The chemical-free formula is safe for most skin types including sensitive.

I love both the Cotz sunscreen and the primer. I love that they are tinted and give me an SPF. Honestly, you don't need foundation when you use these, but if you do, foundation goes on smoothly over this and doesn't flake or rub off like I've found with other products. This product is not going to work for fair, light, even some medium skin tones. The brown tint is orange-ish and comes out of the tube THICK. Felt horrid rubbing in, doesn't spread well at all. To get the right amount of SPF you would have to use almost 1/4 of the tube. Warm and medium tan complexions would have best shot.

I like that it blurs any imperfections I may have without having to put on a ton of makeup just to go sit by the pool or to the lake with friends. It does come out of the tube thick, however all you have to do is warm it between your fingers & it goes on lovely. I switch off between this product and CoTZ Flawless Skin sunscreen SFP 50(both lightly tinted). I use the Prime and Protect sunscreen more when I'm exercising outdoors and in hotter climates since I have dry skin and this product is a bit more drying then the Flawless Skin sunscreen. Overall, it's a good sunscreen and I will definitely re-order!
