I use this on my fingernails in conjunction with a nail conditioner and have seen noticeable improvement in my nails. The ridges and splitting have decreased. A lot. I think a good portion is attributable to the extra moisture from the Cutemol. At night, I use the Cutemol on my whole hand; during the day, I put it only on my nails and surrounding areas because it is really a greasy product. It is absorbed quickly, thank goodness, but if I didn't believe it was doing such a noteworthy job, I wouldn't keep using it.

Every winter my hands dry out and occasionally split and bleed.. This year my fingernails began splitting. i wash my hands frequently. My dermatologist said to apply hand cream every time I wash my hands. She recommended Cutemol and Dermanail. Cutemol is thick and sticky. I use a generous amount of it at bedtime with cotton gloves and the improvement in my hands was dramatic and quick. I have not had any bleeding or skin splitting since I began using it. Since the texture is so sticky, I was not using it during the day but was using other hand creams. I find now that using a small amount during the day keeps my hands and nails feeling good without the stickiness. I am so pleased with the results I will continue to use it during the warmer months since I often swim., but I may not need to use it with gloves at night year round. My fingernails are improving too but that takes longer since it can take 6 months for them to grow out and the splitting is at the tips. If you have similar problem with dry hands, give Cutemol a try. I saw improvement in my skin texture almost instantly.

Cūtemol Emollient Cream is very thick, almost a paste, and would be difficult to spread over large areas of skin. It's best for small areas like dried out fingernails, calloused heels and patches of eczema. The manufacturer recommends applying to damp skin if you want to moisturize your hands but avoid greasy palms. I use it on my fingernails and hands before bed. It moisturizes nails like no other product I've seen. For cracked skin on hands this cream would probably not irritate. There is a tiny bit of scent, but it is not fragranced.
