Not what I expected

This is the second time I've purchased this item--the first time, I bought the night cream. While it seemed to brighten my skin, I didn't see any difference in the wrinkles around my mouth or eyes. Same with the day cream. I can't tell if I just need to use it for a long time before it actually starts moisturizing and changing my skin, or if this product just doesn't do anything except brighten the skin. Not much change in sunspots, either, but I know they come to the surface and then fade, so again, I can't really tell if the product is doing what it's supposed to do or not doing anything. I like the Derma e brand, they usually have really good products, so I''m puzzled about this one. Maybe the "shelf stable" vitamin c form they use just doesn't work as well when it comes to lines and wrinkles. My skin is a little dry, and I might need something that moisturizes more.
