LOVE DERMABLEND POWDER, BUT THIS ONE IS NOT MY FAVE.

I have used Dermablend loose setting powder in the original/translucent shade for several years and it does a fantastic job of setting my makeup. After reading about the illuminating banana powder I thought I would give it a try. Not sure what I was expecting but it seemed to change the overall ‘color’ of my makeup. I tried to use it only on the parts of my face I wanted to illuminate and use the original powder on the rest of my face and I still didn’t like the color. My skin tone is fair so perhaps that is part of the problem but the banana powder just isn’t for me. I’ll stick with the original, which I love!

A good setting powder.

I have used the translucent powder for years and tried the banana tone since it states it illuminates the under eye. This may only be true only if you have medium to dark skin tone. I'm fair/light and should have stayed with the translucent color which does brighten my under eye area as well as sets my concealer without being cakey. I can only use the banana tone on other parts of my face. Too much effort to grab 2 colors, so this one sits in my drawer.

This is the first setting powder that I have liked. No matter the brand I felt it always accented from me lines. Not this one. I received a sample that has lasted literally months and just purchased this in the full size. It sets abs gives a nice luminous healthy glow to the skin without the strobe, glitter, metallic look. Very pleased. I hope they do not discontinue this. If I find out they are I will stock pile it. Lol
