I normally use a different brand of sunscreen and really love that, but I thought it might be good to branch out and try something else, so I turned to this. I haven't really been in the sun all that much since I've started using it (working remotely and all), so I can't speak to whether it helps prevent sunburn or anything. I will say that for the most part, it fades pretty well into my fair-to-light skin tone. There is a VERY slight white cast. It goes well under makeup, which I appreciate because it seems to be so rare. I do hate the packaging though. It keeps tipping over in my medicine cabinet, something that my other brand never does. So I can't ever see myself using this exclusively, but I would use it as a backup if I'm out of the other.

After using it a month in the summer time I can say it suits best for dry skin. The skin’s overall look with this spf on is good (despite a little bit of white stain it leaves) and the skin feels very comfortable. And it has good protection. On my combination skin it is a little bit shiny (what actually I don’t mind), but unfortunately it clogs pores. It needs to be cleaned deeply with cleansing oil or balm.

First, let me start by saying I am a Dr Dennis Gross fanatic. I have a number of his products, including the pore perfecting facial wash (LOVE LOVE LOVE) and the IPL serum. I was running out of my current sunscreen, and I decided to add another DDG product to the team, the Dark Spot Sun Defense Broad Spectrum sunscreen. It smells like any of sunscreen but this sunscreen is thiiiiccck. I put it on as the last skincare step before my foundation and it just never really dried down. Also it left a major white cast but I was thinking who cares about the cast, I’m covering it either foundation anyway. I alternate between 2 high end demi matte foundations, which especially in winter, usually stay Demi matte throughout the whole day, but not with this sunscreen. By mid day, I looked like an oil slick. Only reason I’m giving it 2 stars instead of one is because I love DDG and the ingredient list is amazing. It just went horribly wrong for me
