So, this moisturizer is mostly petroleum jelly, which I don't think I understood while ordering. They add paraffin wax in to it to help it spread and be less greasy. It works really well to protect broken skin barriers and not be obviously shiny/greasy on your face, but I wouldn't use it as an everyday moisturizer.

I ordered this moisturizer for dry skin and it is effective in keeping skin moisturized. However, it looks like petroleum jelly and feels like petroleum jelly on the skin. I use it primarily for my hands at night as I am prone to eczema. I have to make sure it is the last product I put on at night and have to use a hand towel to towel off the excess grease. The product works but best in my opinion for nighttime use.

It has a greasy residue after applying the lotion to my hands and feet, which eventually dissipates. This lotion kept my limbs hydrated and soft during my travels. However, I would not use this lotion on your face/neck for fear of an acne breakout due to the heavy consistency.

I love this moisturizer - before bed I do a serum or active, then a regular moisturizer (love the EltaMd Barrier Renewal), then this. It seems like it would be too oily, but it just melts as soon as I apply it and feels like a dream when I massage it in. My face in the morning is so so soft. I am prone to breakouts and have had no problems with this causing any breakouts. Its like Aquaphor but not sticky, it just feels way more elegant. It has also never irritated my skin at all. I will continue to use this as a final step at night, on top of any other skincare - I also use it on my toddlers' faces before bed and it helps with little irritations, rashes, scratches, etc., and they're happy with it because it doesn't sting even if they have a cut or irritated skin.
