It’s like petroleum jelly but it absorbs quickly and skin is soft to touch after applying. It is very soothing to my extremely dry skin and stops the itch much quicker than creams for me.

I used this after an IPL on my arms and it was extremely helpful with the sensitivity and discomfort. Greatly helped with the healing process as I used it over Hydrocortisone. Wouldn't recommend for a daily facial moisturizer but great for compromised skin.

As a long time user of elta MD, I thought I would give the Moisture Seal a try. It took some getting used to re: Applying to damp skin, but it is now a welcome routine at the end of each shower. It is especially great for dry, sensitive, senior skin. Very soothing! Highly recommend!

I have had dry, rough patches on my face. I decided to try this moisturizer since I have had a good experience with many of EltaMD products. I had to combine this with the P.M. moisturizer, but the rough spots are now gone and my face feels very soft. This product is not greasy at all. It seems like it will last awhile since I use very little each night.

I needed an intense moisturizer for my winter travel plans and I found this. I enjoyed how thick and heavy the lotion was, which was very similar to Vaseline or Aquaphor. It has a greasy residue after applying the lotion to my hands and feet, which eventually dissipates. This lotion kept my limbs hydrated and soft during my travels. However, I would not use this lotion on your face/neck for fear of an acne breakout due to the heavy consistency.

I love this moisturizer - before bed I do a serum or active, then a regular moisturizer (love the EltaMd Barrier Renewal), then this. It seems like it would be too oily, but it just melts as soon as I apply it and feels like a dream when I massage it in. My face in the morning is so so soft. I am prone to breakouts and have had no problems with this causing any breakouts. Its like Aquaphor but not sticky, it just feels way more elegant. It has also never irritated my skin at all. I will continue to use this as a final step at night, on top of any other skincare - I also use it on my toddlers' faces before bed and it helps with little irritations, rashes, scratches, etc., and they're happy with it because it doesn't sting even if they have a cut or irritated skin.

This product is not an under foundation moisturizer. This moisturizer is for extremely dry skin or for an over night moisturizer. I bought this for my daughter who has extremely dry flakey facial skin. I also bought a tube for myself to use as an overnight moisturizer. We are both happy with it.
