I'm allergic to a lot of the common sunscreen/spf ingredients (amiloxate, octisalate). This one is zinc based so I don't have any issues with burning and tingling and it also doesn't leave any sort of cast or color on my lips. It also doesn't have any sort of strange taste or fragrance like many lip balms do.

I do not care if people think I am crazy for ordering a $28 lip balm, I will never use any other kind. I have been using this for about 1.5-2 years, after LovelySkin sent me a free sample of it. It hydrates my lips for a long time after application and smells soooooo good. I keep one in my bag, one in my bathroom and one on hand just in case. I have not tried the Eminence lip balm in a pot. I want to but I cannot imagine anything being better than this one. Love! Just realizing now that it has SPF in it too, bonus!

I like this product but deducted two stars, one each for the price and how little product is in the acctual tube (lets remeber the eco impact of plastic and that this is an Organic line so that's a bit hypocritical and a let down). But no issues with the actual product, it doesn't leave white on lips like most zinc products and the scent/flavor is not too bad and on the light side. For the price I would expect twice the ammount and I have been impressed with how concentrated and the bang for the buck that comes with Eminence products (even w/the recent price increase)

The "stick" is also massive, about twice the size of a regular lip hydrating formula. I love most Eminence Organics products but don't think I would purchase this product again.

I am not even sure on the moisturizing effect of this product. I am not a fan of the consistency of it at all. It’s hard as a rock and it needs to be softer in order to apply in dry or cracked lips. I stopped using as it was hurtful for me. I am not a fan of the rosehip smell either so back to my favorite Citrus Lip Balm from Eminence.
