I started out purchasing the Brown Brow Duo to coordinate with my medium brown hair with light gold highlights. The Brown Duo turned out to be much darker than the photo on this website (and others). I tried the med. brown half of the duo, and it was much too stark for my hair and fair skin. The darker brown half is more black than brown. That being said, I use them for eyeliner - yes eyeliner. They have enough pigment and are easy to apply (dry, not wet) just tap the brush first, so it doesn't fall out on your lower lids. Wears well for hours, even in the heat and humidity. The Taupe Duo looked very light online, but I took a chance and ordered it anyway. I was not disappointed! The colors were darker than shown and are perfect for me. The brown goes on brown, and the taupe goes on taupe (not gray). No auburn/red shades that I'd experienced with other brands. Easy to apply and plenty of pigment (I have very sparse brows). I use either color or both colors together, depending on what mood I'm in. My brows are framed nicely and look very natural, no waxy smears. I'm very happy with both the Brown and Taupe Brow Duos.
