I really like this product for calming and protecting any dry, inflamed, or irritated areas of skin -- whether it's from environmental damage (windburn, sunburn, too dry from lack of humidity) or post-procedure stress/peeling. It has a thick, oily texture -- almost like antibiotic ointment or petroleum jelly, rather than a balm -- and a very little bit goes a long way. It feels nice and soothing on cracked lips, flaky cheeks, and any other little dry, itchy spots you might have. It's hard to wear under any makeup due to how shiny and oily it makes your skin, but if you have an area that really needs some extra protection, this does the trick! I haven't found it to be a major contributor to new acne, though I do tend to see a couple small whiteheads starting to form in the area if I use it heavily for multiple days in a row. Usually, by the time that happens, the irritation is resolved to the point where I don't need the product anymore. The scent is light and herbal, and it's incredibly cost-effective for how much you use compared to how much is in the bottle -- I'm seriously not sure if I'm ever going to use up the whole 2oz tube!

Really helps with dry chapped skin. It’s supposed to be used after procedure as a skin balm. It is pretty thick- not as thick as Vaseline. It melts on application and stays on the skin, doesn’t necessarily absorb which is what it’s supposed to do. I use it on my lips. It looks like a clear lip gloss.
