Shake well before using. Prior to use, leave plastic lid in place, invert and tap the top of the container several times into the palm of your hand. I am grateful to have mild rosacea, but I still require a product to manage it. Knowing azelaic acid is effective in reducing symptoms of rosacea, I picked up this product and have used it for a couple of months. I can tell on the days that I forgo RosaLieve, that my skin feels and looks more inflamed. Jan Marini refers to this as a lotion, but I treat it like a serum. Shake it like crazy, pound it in your palm with the lid still attached, and get out one pump of product. I use my fingers to tap the product into the skin, as otherwise it will pill. This is an effective product, but I really wish it had a higher percentage of azelaic acid and that it weren't so difficult to get out of the packaging, which leaves a lot of unused product in the dispenser.

Worth trying for redness issues associated with rosacea based on the ingredients. It has 5% azaelic acid. The gold standard is 15% from a prescription. IMO this would be a good product to start with or if you can't get a prescription strength. Other OTC versions have 10%. I can't yet speak to its impact on redness. I like that it does not niacinamide in it as my skin reacts negatively to niacinamide (redness, pimply bumps, irritation) and that it is in a lot of redness/rosacea recommended products.

I have never written a bad review for any of my LovelySkin products because I have never needed to; they never disappoint until now. Jan Marini Rosalieve had such high praise from derms and shoppers. So in my search for anything to help my rosacea I bought it.....at a very high price. I used it 2 x day until it was empty and it did absolutely nothing for my rosacea. Please don't waste your money on this one. Sorry LovelySkin: I still love you but this product just doesn't live up to the hype.
