I was looking for a new shampoo to give thickness and volume to my fine, straight, color-treated hair. This wasn’t it. The fragrance is nice, but the shampoo texture is a little different at first, as it takes a little longer to develop a lather.. As I began to rinse my hair, I could feel the ends starting to tangle. My hair felt rough, like steel wool. I immediately followed with Kenra Professional Platinum Thickening Conditioner, which helped soften my hair, but it was still quite tangled. Kenra Professional Blow Dry Mist was moderately effective on the tangles. Quite a disappointment overall. All 3 products were purchased and used together, and I used them twice. My har did have a little more volume, but it wasn’t shiny, and now the ends are very dry. I wish I had saved the packaging in order to return them all. Lesson learned the hard way.

This shampoo is a really great price and a former stylist has used this line on my hair yrs ago. I got it mostly to pair with the Kenra strengthening treatment as I don’t like to mix brands. While it is not my favorite shampoo ever, it has a nice scent and does not weigh hair down. My hair did look fuller and felt extremely soft after using. It added bounce to my hair. I will continue to use it when I do the treatment but it might be even better for someone with heavier, thicker hair.

It does seem to make it thicker and healthier looking. The other thing is that I used to get itchy patches of eczema on my scalp.
