Part hair horizontally, leaving a layer of hair at the nape of the neck (about 1 inch thick) and secure the remainder of hair to the top of the head with a hair clip. Slowly slide flat iron over half-inch sections of hair from roots to tips. Once that layer is sufficiently straightened, release a new layer of hair from the clip. Repeat straightening process until all hair is straightened and styled. Follow with a finishing balm or oil for added shine and polish.

I do not straighten my hair often, but when I do, this is what I reach for. I first spray a little heat protectant spray before going over my hair with this, and this does not damage my hair. It leaves the most sleek, frizz-free, polished finish.
