I bought this product because it addresses a specific complaint I described over and over about my hair: oily scalp and dry ends. It is not sulfate free which was scary for me because I have fine and curly hair. However, it works well if I use it sparingly in two steps. First I use it as instructed to thoroughly clean my scalp with about a time size amount of shampoo. After I completely rinse it out, I use the same amount to thoroughly wash my scalp and hair again before rinsing and using conditioner on my ends and lengths. I can go every other day using this method and my hair looks good. Everyone has their own hair needs, so do your research about ingredients and instructions before purchasing. There are other good choices in this line and they all smell nice to me.
