I’ve read numerous reviews both good and bad of this product on various platforms but due to my desperation with my bikini line, I decided to give it try. I can honestly say that it did help to bring down the bumps and ingrowns but it started to darken my bikini area and where I placed the product on my skin was starting to form like a line of hyperpigmentation that outlined my bikini area. I followed the instructions and exfoliated as well, but I’m assuming that this product just isn’t for everyone. Thankfully once I saw what was happening, I stopped using the product. Right now I am trying to use natural products to lighten my bikini area and bring it back to its normal state. All of a sudden, I prefer where my skin was before I started using this product….

I LOVE this product, BUT you have to be prepared for POSSIBLE darkening of the skin where you apply it. I noticed a good change first in 2 mths & completely in 3 mths (using 3x/wk). I have undiagnosed Hidradenitis Suppuratavia (I realized I've had this since I was a teen thanks to, 'BeautifulBrwnBabyDol,' via YouTube). My entire mons pubis is covered in hyperpigmentation where the warts were (in in my 30s now so that's how long they didn't fade). I used this 3x a week when I first bought it and over time, I noticed both lightening of the almost black dark spots as well as darkening and peeling (old skin) of the entire area. I am an Esthetician, so I knew what issues may arise prior to using this bleaching product. You HAVE to exfoliate while using this product because the skin might need help with that. I'm a darker-skinned Black woman and my skin got, 'bad,' before it got better [entire bikini area lightening and matching the skin on my thighs]. It's just as simple as taking a wet wash cloth on wet skin & GENTLY (like you're giving a baby a bath) rubbing in small circles for a min or so where you apply the product on days that you don't use it (2-3x/week). To avoid this issue, I would take a cotton swab & directly apply the product to the problem spots, NOT the entire area. HOW TO USE: I used this at night to give it a chance to dry (the smell is very minty, so night or when you're home is best). I also fanned the area to speed up the drying process. It is sticky as it dries. It dried within 5 mins & then I applied a mousturizer. Keep a daily routine of hydrating the area (morning and night with a hydrating moisturizer), gently exfoliating & NOT shaving on days when you use this product (can make it worse) and you'll be fine. If you are too worried about the darkening of the area, use once or twice a week instead and also not use longer than a month or two at a time.

I have been using this product on and off for about 6 months. I started using 2 times a day consistently for the past month, I will say I have seen significant difference in the ingrowns and razor bumps. Honestly I would say use it in rotation with another product (tend skin, ordinary glycolic acid ) for those days where you are doing your hair removal and can’t use this product. I have been seeing lots of peeling so make sure you are exfoliating as well. The peeling is not crazy for me but everyone’s skin in different.
