So good for my acne scars, and leaves skin soft! I LOVE THIS for helping acne heal quickly and reducing scarring. Of course you have to deal with some redness/flaking when you first start (like with any retinol product) but that went away in about 2 weeks for me. Since retinol is so strong, I use this with a gentle cleanser and moisturizer that are noncomedogenic, fragrance free and paraben free. Do not use with other acne products, like anything that contains salicylic acid.

I tried retinol many years ago & had a "bad" reaction. It was probably too strong for my skin. I received a sample of RetinolForte Treatment 3x from LovelySkin and was immediately convinced of its effectiveness. There was enough in the sample to use for 3 days. This particular formula goes on smoothly & is less harsh than the retinol of old. I've used it successfully, sporadically at first, then daily. I love the results so far. It reduced fine lines, reduced redness & discoloration, and reduced melasma which I was told couldn't be done without expensive laser treatment. I have Asian skin which has a tendency to scar so I avoid chemical peels as well. I'm also excited that there are higher retinol strengths of this product If I ever need it. I am looking forward to seeing the improvement after longer than 3 weeks of use! I highly recommend this product if you wish to address any of the conditions I mention above.

this is really more of a cream than a serum. it has a very soft pasty texture going on, and leaves a matte finish. this is, of course, due to all the silicones, therefore may not be best for those prone to blackheads. it actually makes a great makeup primer. there is no stinging or burning. there is no stickiness. it has a barely there herbal scent.
