No white cast
Goes on smooth, absorbs well, doesn't clog my pores, no white residue. All in all pleasing.

Alastin SilkSHIELD All Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30
I do like this sunscreen. Pros: All mineral so my skin won't break out like it does with chemical based sunscreens. This formula has a slight shimmer so my skin glows and it feels very silky going on. It does not dry out my skin like other mineral sunscreens. Cons: this product does sort of "sit" on your skin when first applied so may feel a bit heavy but it does settle in about 10 minutes after application. I will purchase again.

Nice sunscreen
I have been using the Alastin Hydratint sunscreen for a few years now at the advice of my dermatologist. It's a wonderful sunscreen (albeit maybe slightly too dark for me skin tone) but my skin is becoming drier and drier as I'm aging and I felt like the Hydratint was making me feeler dry. I thought I should try the alternative sunscreen that Alastin offers. I like it but don't love it. It's a completely different feeling sunscreen from the Hydratint. It has that dry, silicone feel that I've never really cared for. As far as Alastin sunscreens go, I do still prefer the Hydratint.

Love this sunscreen
I love this sunscreen, my dermatologist recommended this sunscreen, and for more than a year I have been using it. This sunscreen is great for post-procedure, dry, and normal skin. To me, it's like a moisturizer and sunscreen combined. After a few minutes, the minimal white cast diminishes. Overall great product; although, I wish that the SPF was higher

Pretty Good
I have sensitized, post-procedure skin and I NEED a gentle sunscreen that does not irritate, is easy to apply and does not have a white cast. This is impossible to find. This sunscreen is one of the best I've found, but it doesn't meet all criteria. The best thing about it is it does not pill -- wow! That's a big accomplishment for physical sunblock. It's gentle, but it has slightly stung and irritated my skin on a few occasions. It does leave a white cast, which fades out after about 2-3 hours. I don't reapply -- who has time for that? Sunscreen is just so frustrating. The white cast is it's blotchy, whereas other the white cast on other sunblocks have a more even appearance. So disappointing that we have to settle for a blotchy white cast just to protect our skin.
