Avène Cicalfate (AC) was first recommended to me by my esthetician in NYC for use after facial chemical peels, laser procedures and injections. I seriously don't know what I did before I found this product! This has done wonders for my skin since I started using Tretinoin. It's VERY thick so I wouldn't be able to use this as a day moisturizer. However, it's perfect for a night cream after applying Tretinoin. It doesn't sting or have any scent and has restored my skin barrier. One word of caution, as I mentioned, it's VERY thick and takes quite a long time to fully absorb. I would say a minimum of 45- 60 minutes, but to me, it's worth it. I will definitely purchase again!!
