Soft and Moisturized
I’m on a “find the perfect facial moisturizer” journey. It’s expensive, I could have gone to Switzerland for a month at this point! Here’s the situation, I’ve entered the 60’s and what used to work just isn’t working. I have very sensitive skin, redness, rosacea, dry and oily areas. I have large pores and will get a pimple or three every now and then. Ugh! I’ve had all kinds of lasers on my face, as well as fillers and peels. Yeah, I’m not aging gracefully so that’s how I come to be on this journey. I need a good or maybe great facial moisturizer that’ll address all my issues and when I look at my freshly washed face in the mirror will think “Ok, that’s not bad at all.” Babor, they’re a known brand for many years. In my 30’s, I went to a babor salon and got facials once a month. I think they have good skin care products. It’s finding what works for you that’s tricky. I knew I needed a product with Lipids as other moisturizers with Lipids seem to make my skin look better. I don’t know what lipids are but that was a requirement. I also wanted a product that wouldn’t clog my pores as that’s another battle I’m fighting so non-comedogenic. Lastly I needed my see suppleness and diminished fine lines after use. So this product goes on thick, like you’re spreading glue. It’s not my favorite sensation. But once you’re past that, and press the product gently into your skin it feels emollient and then dries down so it feels matte. It would be a good base to apply makeup. I’m using at night only but will try it with makeup. After a few minutes it feels soft to the touch. In the morning my skin is really soft like I exfoliated and then applied a deep moisturizer. My skin looks plump and moisturized. Its good and I’m not unhappy with these results. As the weather gets colder, this would be the one to use. Admittedly during the hot Arizona type summers that gluey application may be off putting. It’s my first jar, it’s start of Fall so I’m happy with it. Its a mid range cost product that does moisturize your skin. For me, it’s a keeper. However, I’m still on my journey.

Missing the Lipid Itense Cream
I wish Babor had not discontinued Lipid Intense cream, which I used for many years. I was told this cream was meant to replace it, but it just doesn't work as well. I am using it until I can find another cream that comes closer to the Lipid Intense. Please, Babor, bring back the Lipid Intense!
