Mixed feelings
I used to buy this years ago and it was so beautiful on my skin, I got so many compliments. I recently bought this again but I can’t seem to figure it out. It doesn’t blend in smoothly like it used to and I can see patches of it. I watched videos and bought the brush trying to determine what I was doing wrong but I still haven’t figured it out. Maybe it’s the sunscreen or moisturizer I’m using or maybe it’s because I have some dry patches of skin , not sure.

Doesn't Cause Breakouts
My daughter mixes 2 shade of the BareMinerals Matte Foundations to achieve a close skin match. She has a fair cool-tone complexion and uses the Fair Ivory and Golden Fair shades. Each shade on its own is either too yellow (Golden Fair) or too pink (Fair Ivory). She blends the powders in the cap and applies it with a fluffy powder brush for a sheer-to-medium finish. The two shades mixed together make for a good match and it doesn't cause her sensitive, acne-prone skin to flair or breakout. I wish BM would make a better color range. Side note, she does not use the Original formula because that one contains BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE, which causes negative skin reactions (for her). The Matte formula does not contain that ingredient.
