I have noticed that it is important to change the brush heads out at least every four months, if not sooner. When I forget, I almost dread the task of using my Clarisonic. It is then that I realize the brush heads are course and somewhat frayed. Changing to the new replacement is always an enjoyable experience. My face & body feel pampered & clean. My favorite brush head!
I have tried most of the other brush heads for my Clarisonic but the one for deep pore cleansing is my favorite. I feel it cleans my face better and more thoroughly. I change my brush head about every 4 to 6 months and always remove any makeup prior to using my Clarisonic -- therefore my brush doesnt get dirty at all and with a gentle rinsing and drying after each use it stays better longer.

Since Ive been using my Clarisonic Mia, my skin is brighter and this definitely gets rid off all the makeup off my face. If you keep your brush clean (I wash my w/baby shampoo once/week and dry it after each use), you certainly dont need to replace the brush head every 3 weeks as is recommended.

The brush head break down: Standard- Firm. Its gives you a light exfoliation effect as it cleans. Good for normal skin, oily skin (no acne), and men. Deep pore- A little softer than the standard. It too gives a slight exfoliation but is gentler on the skin. Acceptable for all skin types including a good way to deep clean sensitive skin. Delicate- Soft but effective. Thoroughly cleans the skin with out irritation. Ideal for everyday cleansing of sensitive skin and for men prone to razor burn. Acne- Super soft. This brush is designed to not rupture or disturb inflamed skin. It imparts a gentle cleaning for compromised skin. Best suited for active acne, rosacea, also a great choice for babying postprocedural skin. Body- Big flat firm brush. Good for covering large areas such as the back and chest. I find it a little difficult to attach/detach this brush head as it has a tendency to spin. In a perfect world I would suggest dedicating one Clarisonic to the body brush and keep another by the sink for the face.
