Tinting is very light, I don’t think it makes much of a difference on my skin, but I have redness and broken capillaries from rosacea, it’s hard to cover, but I hade no issues using this under makeup. Due to my dry, hypersensitive skin, this is the only liquid sunscreen I can use on a regular basis. It goes on smoothly and the classic color works well with my skin tone. There is a matte version for those with oily, acne prone skin. I do wish Colorscience and other companies would quit routinely adding niacinamide to their products because there are a subset of people who react to it, and I’m one of those. However, I can tolerate this product if I take a break a couple of days a week and use a powder sunscreen instead.
