I've been using a heavy Dermablend concealer to cover a facial scar from surgery for many years. This is a lighter, more cosmetic formula and I purchased it for dark circles and to cover some age spots. It is creamy, and not too heavy. It doesn't hide age spots completely because it is a lighter formula. But I like the brand and this product, and I returned another expensive brand concealer and will keep this one.

It was so difficult trying to discover what shade to order. I looked at different shade guides, filled out "foundation finder" questionnaires, and it was still challenging to select a shade. in the long run, I think the color I finally selected wasn't really quite right. Concealer that lasts all day
I've used Dermablend concealer for years and haven't found any other brand that works as well to cover the dark circles around my eyes. I liked the original formula better as it was far easier to apply evenly, which is why I only gave the new version 4 stars. The new formula is heavily pigmented and thicker than the original. A TINY bit goes a long way and it took a lot of practice to figure out how to get it on smoothly. If it's too thickly applied, it looks cakey. I finally resorted to using a small eyeshadow brush to place tiny dots along the area I wanted to cover and then used my finger to stipple back and forth across them until blended. I also use a tiny bit of colorless powder to set it and it holds well all day - even in Arizona summertime heat!

This was good but not great for my 50 year old dryish skin. This was a first time purchase and while I have been using it, I probably won't repurchase again because it tends to be a little drying on me. Nothing at all against this product.
