This cleansing oil pulls triple duty for me. It removes makeup, sunscreen, and stubborn liner/mascara. It effectively cleans my skin, even when I get lazy and skip a second cleanse (shhhh). Great pre-cleanse!
I’ve been using this pre-cleanse for about 2 years, along with the double cleanse method. It removes all my makeup and sunscreen and get my skin incredibly clean and never leaves it dry or tight, just really clean. This product is great! It performs. I have oily, acne prone skin so oil cleansing was intimidating to me. This product however eased my concerns. It really helps deeply clean the skin without stripping it and rinses cleanly. It does not leave a oily film on the skin. I don't break out from using the product. Oil cleansers rule
I used to think the idea of doing a pre-cleanse before your main cleanser was a scam, just something derm companies advertised in order to sell more product. And who knows maybe that's still true to an extent but I can say with certainty that I'm a convert now. This stuff does a great job of doing a kind of deep strip cleaning that even the best cleansers I've tried can't match. This stuff especially works wonders on SPF, even waterproof SPF is no match for this. It just melts right off. Removing one star due to the high price of this but as long as Dermalogica keeps selling the 10oz bottle, I'll keep buying it from here on out.
