HYDRATING
I swear by the Calm Water Gel. This is the one product I cannot live without. An esthetician explained to me that my dry skin needed water based hydration, not oil based hydration! I have not had dry skin since using this for the last several years and I live in a very dry climate. I sandwich it between an HA serum and the Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance.

Perfect for sensitive or reactive skin!
I love this calm water gel. I finally put it on autoship so I don't run out. (discount is nice too!) I use it 2x daily. In the morning, it's the first coat and then tinted sunscreen and then makeup. I have an Rx retinol that I use that every other night. I will use the calm water gel an hour or 2 before that or otherwise just the water gel and Dermalogica barrier repair. I have reactive skin prone to irritation and rosacea so I look for really gentle fragrance free products. Dermalogica's sensitive line is great and this gel is gentle and soothing. Can't go wrong!

Light moisturizer, Lavender scent
I have sensitive, redness prone, normal-to-dry skin with acne rosacea. Dermalogica Ultra Calming Water Gel is great for when my skin needs a very light summer moisturizer and I want to take a break from my usual products. It has a light lavender scent so I can't use it often due to that.

Great moisturizer but
I absolutely loved this moisturizer! Calming, soothing and didn’t cause breakouts or clogged pores. Only issue was the lavender, I ended up having a bad reaction to lavender and had to stop using this product. I’m hoping one day Dermalogica could make an unscented line! Or at least find an alternative ingredient to lavender, as there’s quiet a few people who have adverse reactions to it.

Not for reactive skin
Really wanted to like this product. Water, gel, cooling, what's not to like? Unfortunately my skin didn't. My cheeks (rosacea) became red and blotchy. Did not use another product under or over it. Yet another product I can't use. However, it may do wonders for normal skin, which is why I gave it a 3-star rating. I'm only writing this review to warn others with rosacea or reactive skin to be careful if you try it.
