Takes a while to get fully absorbed
I’ve never been a fan of applying oils or even lotion to my body. Having said that, I ended up living in a dry-dessert climate for a couple of years and decided to try an oil. I chose this particular product because it has multiple uses: nourishes my skin, hair and nails. That means spending less and having fewer bottles at home. This helps when traveling. I like the scent and feel like I’m getting the benefits of that pleasant smell on a deep level. The scent would remain noticeable, wherever you apply it, for many hours. Initially my family thought I was using a new natural perfume. The cost of the oil is fair considering the amount of product one gets. It comes in a glass bottle which was a huge plus for me as I’m eliminating as much plastic as I can from my life. I always had the house air conditioner in around 70F, even in winter time, therefore the oil solidified on a regular basis. For me that wasn’t a problem. I followed the instructions (putting in a bowl of warm water) and it easily returned to its liquid state. If I forgot to warm it I was unable to immediately use it because you can’t remove the cap to scrape the solidified oil with a spatula/spoon. Is a good oil for my skin, but where I saw dramatic improvement was with my hair and nails. The only not so good detail for me was the time it took to be absorbed onto my skin. Regardless of the quantity of oil I used, time of day I applied it, if I had exfoliated my skin, my diet and exercise routines it always took a long time. As a result I changed my focus of using it every day to a product for “at home relaxing spa days”.

Massage therapist use this oil on me recently. He used it for a scalp massage as well and coated my hair. I left it on my hair for several hours before washing it off. It’s seem to turn back time, years, of damage on my blonde highlighted hair that is to the middle of my back. While this is expensive, I use a little bit, coat my hair, and leave it on overnight. It’s unreal how healthy and shiny my hair is after washing it the following morning. It’s great for the skin, and smells like Tahiti. The only strange thing to note is that it is solid in the jar, and you need to put it in a cup of hot water for about 30 seconds for it to melt and be usable. I highly recommend it!
