Perfect cleanser for oily/sensitive skin
I was referred to EltaMD Foaming Facial Cleanser when my old cleanser was discontinued. I was skeptical, but relieved at how well this cleanser works. It is gentle, smells pleasant and does not irritate my skin which is a plus. It foams half of the time with one use, but normally I have to use twice to get my skin clean. Even using it twice is not that big of an issue as my oily skin has become less oily and my complexion looks healthier. Only problem is the pump seams to clog from time to time. Still I will be purchasing again.

This is a great, basic cleanser. It’s not too drying but also feels like it removes all traces of the day. I’m not a heavy makeup wearer so I can’t speak to its efficacy in that regard, but I do like it. Sometimes I’ll lather it up and let it sit while I brush my teeth and then I rinse or use a washcloth to remove it. I feel like I get a deeper clean using it that way which is nice once or twice a week. The only thing negative I’ll say is that the pump gets clogged pretty easily which is annoying but not a deal breaker. All in all I’m a fan of this cleanser and would totally buy it again.

I love the foaming action of this cleanser. It makes cleaning my face easier and there's less mess left of my counter. I do find that when I wear my full coverage foundation, this cleanser alone doesn't remove all of my makeup. After washing I will wipe my face with a makeup remover wipe and there's still some makeup that was left behind. That's the reason I knocked off a star. On the days I don't wear full coverage foundation, I feel like one wash is totally sufficient and my skin is perfectly clean.

I prefer the Elta MD Deep Pore Facial Cleanser to the Elta MD Foaming Facial Cleanser because I think it foams more than the Foaming Facial Cleanser. I'm a soap and water gal and the Foaming Facial Cleanser is more like a lotion. I didn't give it 5 stars because it won't take all my eye makeup off and I don't wear water proof makeup. I have been using EltaMD Foaling Cleanser for over 2 years now due to an issue I developed of a dermatitis around my eyes, mouth and nose. It was soothing and while it did not cure my condition, it definitely did not make it worse and it was very gentle on my skin. The dermatitis eventually went away on its own and I have continued using this product. The foaming action gives me a very clean but not dry feeling after rinsing, even washing away makeup.
