I was expecting so much from this brand since I love their other products. It leaves a horrible white cast. My legs and body looked so ashy. The worst white cast I’ve seen in a sunscreen. I agree with other reviewers, it is a very thick lotion not a mist. If I could return it I would but I didn’t use or notice it until it was too late, now I have all these useless sunscreens.

Worst Elta MD product ever
I was looking for a light sunscreen that I could use for every day use and thought this UV AOX Mist would be a great product to try as I love all of Elta MD's products that I have previously purchased. This is hands down the greasiest sunscreen I have ever bought. The product states it is a "mist" which is entirely inaccurate. This is a heavy lotion in a spray bottle. After I sprayed it on myself it left a white cast all over even after I tried rubbing it in. It looked and felt like I had rubbed Crisco all over my body. I wouldn't dare put this on my face due to it's thick consistency. It also creates an incredible greasy mess when you spray it and ends up everywhere. I could not wait to take a shower and wash this off. I returned this promptly. ICK!

Defective Spray Nozzles
I purchased two of these. The nozzle on both of them seems to be stuck and the product does not come out. I was able to get one of them to work after putting my entire body wait on the nozzle. I like the sunscreen, but they really need to fix the spray nozzle because one of the bottles has been entirely useless, as I cannot get the product out.

HUGE EltaMD fan. I was so excited for this, as I've been waiting for a body antiox product from EltaMD. Unfortunately, the bottle doesn't spray (it barely comes out at all...you have to use brute force and even then, it's not guaranteed to work). Hopefully they'll make a lotion version.

Defective Sprayer?
I purchased this product since I always use the elta md face sunscreen and love it. I only used this once, it is a thicker mist but dried quickly. But, I have not been able to access the product since, I cannot get the sprayer to work, nor can I remove the spray cap to manually access it. Basically a waste of money at this point. Wish they would go back to a pump bottle for the body sunscreen.

I love all elta sunscreens and I was excited about a spray. Well, I was disappointed. The spray is white and it has a powerful stream. My hair was covered in white sunscreen. You basically have to spray in your palm and then apply it on your body or face, which defeats the purpose of a spray. I was expecting a clear spray.

Always happy with the products but — tried the spray sunscreen and it will not spray. Had it at the pool so finally lifeguard helped pry off the whole top of the can until we got to the spay mechanism. It now works and it’s great but a zero for product packaging. Hope it gets fixed.

I see that someone else had a defective spray can that does not dispense product. I cannot really rate the product until I send back the defective can and get a new can. It’s disappointing.

Double disappointment
First, I received a defective spray can which would not dispense the product without a heavy amount of force applied to the top using both hands, which made impossible to apply properly. As I was away from home, I did the best I could by confining the spray to one spot and then spreading it elsewhere. Despite this issue, I was initially thrilled after applying this for the first time during my Caribbean vacation. It went on sheer, rubbed in easily and left a perfectly moisturized non sticky finish. Perfect, I thought. However, within hours of application I developed a strange combination of rash and hives which grew progressively worse even after I stopped using the product. The rash was truly frightening. Luckily I had not used this product on my face or neck, and the rash was mostly confined to the areas of application. After a week I returned home and saw my dermatologist , who diagnosed my rash as photoallergic dermatitis. As this was the only new product I used I must conclude that it is the culprit. After a week on a steroid prescription cream , I am slowly improving. An expensive disappointment !!
