Reviews For EltaMD UV Daily Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Facial Moisturizer
Much too yellow for me
This is not for very fair skinned people. It looks very yellow on me and makes my eyes water. I may still use it for gardening and keep it away from my eyes.

Can’t get passed the smell
I know this sunscreen is heavily popular at the Dermo. But I can’t get over the smell.

Just ok
I like the high spf rating but the tint was too dark on my skin and my face looks too shiny.

Okay
The tiny is nice but it drys out my skin. I mixed it with an everyday lotion and it made it better.

Caused Irritation
Not every day but often enough to continue looking for a dependable sunscreen, this caused redness and irritation in addition to a mild white cast. I don’t usually have a bad reaction to zinc oxide, so I’m not sure how to account for this unwelcome side effect. I’m trying another EltaMD sunscreen. We’ll see.

Ordered wrong item
I ordered the untinted version of this product. I do not like it as much as the tinted version. This product is very white when applied

Disappointed
The SPF 40 facial moisturizer was fine on its own. When I put my very light foundation makeup over it, my skin looked bumpy, not smooth. It might be fine by itself, for a younger person who doesn't use cc cream to even out spots and flaws on face. I tried the tinted elta MD, but the color was much to dark for my skin. So I am disappointed.

Elta MD UV Daily Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Facial Moisturizer- Tinted
I purchased the tinted version of this moisturizer. I developed a rash and raw spots on my cheeks and near my temples. After talking to my aesthetician about it, she said she has some clients that have problems with what they use for the tinting. I returned it and purchased the un-tinted version, which I haven't tried yet.

Not my fave
Don’t really like the consistency of the product. Not enough moisture. I’ll stick to Glo.

Caused breakouts…
While I’m sure this is a great product, I noticed I would get small pimples after wearing. I tried multiple different times and each time I had the same result and am not one to ever breakout. Do love lots of other Elta products though!

Honestly, didn't love it
There is so much hype over this product but it wasn't for me. I use Image's moisturizer with sunscreen and prefer that. However, Elta MD is worth a try if you don't already have something you love. It's lightweight (might be too lightweight for me). My other issue was that it stings if it gets into my eyes (sweat, tears, etc).

Good sunscreen
This is a good sunscreen for under makeup for me in the cooler months not so much in warmer weather. I have combo skin (oiler on forehead and nose). Other products work better for me, not a bad product, just not all the time for me.

Okay but could be better
I will not repurchase this specific EltaMD SPF maybe in the non-tint. But it does oxidize. If you want a tan look then this could be for you.

Does not compare to the clear version of the SPF
I had high hopes for this product since their clear SPF is Amazing….unfortunately, not a fan of the tinted. This sits on my skin and feels sticky and looks shiny. I do not like the texture or feel of it on my face. I like it when I mix it with a tinted moisturizer from a different brand. I am a huge fan of their clear SPF but will not be purchasing the tinted one again.

Not the best for sensitive skin
I don't really know how I feel about this sunscreen. My dermatologist recommended it but I find it very heavy and greasy. I should have looked at the ingredients 1st because I did not realize that this has petroleum in it. That's probably why it feels so heavy on my skin. I did get a little skin irritation from it on my cheeks. But it did not cause me any breakouts. Probably won't repurchase in the future. Might try the EltaMD 46 clear next time.

What's changed?
I have used this for many years and I now notice a change in the packaging. The pump seems iffy and I have the sense that there is less in the tube than full. This has happened on more than one of these so I am getting skeptical and ready to move on and find another trusted product. What's up?

Nice coverage but my skin broke out
I will have to stick with UV clear for acne-prone skin. I wanted something with a little more coverage so I tried this, but it has made my skin break out. You can never really know if a product is to blame or something else, but I only use this in the area above my face mask so I won't get tint on the inside of my mask, and that's where all my acne showed up. You might not have this same experience, I have pretty picky skin, but I'll be going back to UV clear.

Nothing spectacular
I had high hopes after reading the reviews but was left underwhelmed by this sunscreen. It didn't moisturize my skin any better than the lotion I buy at CVS. The non-leak bottle is nice for travel.

Me
Like that feel of this lotion. Doesn't give a mask feeling.

Not that much extra hydration
Good Sun Protection. I didn’t think It had that much hydration. For that reason I stick with the spf 46 and use my own moisturizer.
