Heliocare in general was recommended by my dermatologist about 6 years ago. I like the Ultra for when I’m on a sunny beach vacation (along with mineral sunscreen) which definitely helps with not getting a sunburn. For everyday use, I prefer the Heliocare Advanced. My skin overall has looked better since using Heliocare Advanced so I know it must be doing something good.

I was recommended this product by my derm. I struggle with melasma and was concerned about them getting darker during a planned trip to the Bahamas. My dermatologist said this product is a powerful antioxidant and when used in conjunction with sunscreen will protect against sun damage. I spent so much of holiday in the sun and truly believed that this product helped prevent any sunburn. Natural skin treatment
I have been using this product for approximately 1 year after a recommendation from the PA at my dermatology office for dry spots on areas of my face. These areas were previously treated with dry ice applications. I didn't like this treatment this capsules were recommended. I can see quite a difference in these areas over the past year. They are much smaller and don't seem to be so prominent. I am in the sun in arizona as I golf 5-6 times a week and wear a hat. But I will continue to use this as I strongly believe in the benefits.

A dermatologist recommendation that really works!
I started using Heliocare Advanced at the advice of my dermatologist. After about three months of use, a co-worker commented on how radiant my skin looked. So happy LovelySkin carries it since the Advanced formula can be difficult to find and the Nicotinamide in the Advanced formula is critical to help prevent the formation of certain precancers not just prevent skin damage. Accutane and Heliocare
I took Heliocare while on accutane and I felt like it helped prevent burns and have less heat rash. I started taking it a couple of weeks before I knew I was going to be outside in the sun for extended lengths of time. Of course I also reapplied sunscreen about every hour or so. I did not burn at all and very minimal heat rash. I feel like on Accutane I am also more prone to skin tearing from bumping into something or injury and I felt like I had less skin tears with taking Heliocare. Will definitely be taking this for the remainder of my time on Accutane as my skin is super sensitive right now and I can very easily burn. I also know of an older person with thinning skin that took this due to their skin tearing very easily with any bump or scratch and they said it reduced this a lot. May improve skin integrity? At least that’s what it seems like.

I have been using Heliocare Advanced for several years on advice from my dermatologist. I have seen a marked improvement in the overall health of my skin. I have fairly sensitive skin and experienced a bad allergic reaction on my arms and legs after sun exposure, so my dermatologist recommended I purchase HELIOCARE (and also that I use different sunscreen).
