This product is great for break-outs. It keeps my skin clear and helps the overall texture. I've been using this for almost 5 years and it always works well. I use it at night, but also use it during the day (with the hydro cool serum-also by IS Clinical).

Active Serum-great for sensitive skin
I have suffered from hormonal/cystic acne breakouts but despite having oily skin- my skin is also sensitive. After washing and applying products in the morning my skin would become reactive, inflamed, and dry (thus produing more oil). The instant I applied this product it had a nice cooling effect, absorbs quickly, and doesn't cause irratation. It has also helped heal and control my breakouts along my jawline and my skin is no longer so reactive and feels better. Great product for people with cystic or hormonal acne but doesn't like the irratation from harsh products.

Expensive...but it does work
This product definately will help clear problem areas, help with dry patches and even skin tone, but if you are sensitive to glycolic acids, etc, it may aggravate your skin. Usually, with a product like this, you may break out initiallly until your skin adjusts. I would expect this to occur in the majority of people. It did with mine, anyway. Other than this, this is a great product that exfoliates the skin over time, .but I would use in moderation. It is a bit expensive, thus my four star review, but it will last a long time if not used in excess. Less is more and the is clinical company claims it is not too harsh for use everyday. Anway, the texture and consisitency is good and the tingling feeling upon application I enjoyed. I have also used the LHA serum by skinicueticals and the biomedic serum with similar results. There are cheaper alternatives, but this serum does perform well. Thanks.
