Using the Jan Marine Bioglycolic Face Cleaser twice a day (AM and PM), I believe is helping my skin as evidenced by the very slight tingle with its application. However, afterward rinsing the bioglycolic cleanser away at night, I still use follow up with another cleanser to make sure that I have removed all traces of makeup. Because I must use another cleanser after this one at night, I am giving four rather than five stars.

I love how clean this cleanser gets my face. It also leaves my skin very soft. The only downside for me, is the strong glycolic smell. And, although I have used other Jan Marini products with glycolic in them, this one stings just a bit. Alternating between this one and a more gentle cleanser has helped.

This cleanser feels smooth and good. I really like it. But I have decided that I have to wash with a Salicylic Acid for my acne instead of just this cleanser. So I am giving it a 3 because I have acne, but for a nice feeling cleanser it really deserves a 5. Depending upon your needs, I recommend.

I like this somewhat mild chemical exfoliant. Maybe my expectations were high from all the 5 star reviews I read. I believe it could be used by most skin types. I use it about twice a week and alternate with a physical exfoliant.

This isn't a soap and lather type of product. The best way to use it is on dry skin because when glycolic mixes with water, it loses it's potency. After washing and drying, put a thin layer on and let it sit for a few minutes. The tingle means it's working. I don't use this daily because it would make me too flaky, and I try not to get it in the corners of my mouth or nose, where the skin could peel and become raw. This is a great exfoliant when used correctly a few times each week.

Once you put the cleanser on your face you feel it working, but it does not foam or remove makeup. A little confusing on how to best use it if you dont want to use a new washcloth everyday. As of now, I just use it like any other cleanser, but dont expect foaming or deep cleansing.

I like this cleanser but it is a bit drying for my aging skin. It works better on hot, humid midwestern days rather than the milder days of spring and fall. I wouldnt consider trying this for winter. However, I think it would be a very good product for those that struggle with very oily skin Im going to have my husband try it to see what he thinks.
