Long lasting lip stain
I purchased this lip stain while looking for something to replace a lip stain product I had been using that had long wear but always dried my lips out. This lip stain solved the issue! It is long wearing and doesn’t dry out my lips like other lip stains tend to do. I would definitely recommend it if you like the benefit of long lasting color but not the drying effect of most lip stains.

I used the lip fix that this product replaced for years. So I was very disappointed when it was discontinued:-( But Jane Iredale has done done it again and come up with an improved product! It is matte…but has a natural look and is not drying. I live in the desert so sometimes I put a gloss or lip conditioner lightly over the Lip Fixation. The joy is that it really stays on through a normal day of eating, exercising or even swimming! I love this product and will always have a back up…so I never run out!

Great for older women with lip lines
I have to put in a good word for this lip stain -- it's perfect for women like me, who have trouble with most lipsticks that "bleed" into the lip lines after application. This one stays put and looks fresh for a while. I do wish it lasted longer, but like I said, I love that it doesn't bleed into my lip lines. It defines my lips without a lip liner too -- another plus for older, sensitive lips. Great product, in my book, and I just ordered more colors!

Sticky and Pills Up
I tried this, thinking that it would be similar to the classic Jane Iredale stains that are in stick form. The classic stains are great and I have all three colors (red, peach and pink). However, the beyond matte stain is not the same. It is sticky and forms a kind of film on the lips, then peels off and pills under lip balm. I do not recommend. I would like to return it but do not think it's worth the shipping cost and hassle of repackaging it.

I have tried this lip stick in the shades obsession, blissed out and fascination. I was not a fan of fascination because is was slightly shimmery sheer metallic finish which is not my preference but the other two are a true matte finish very thin on the lip with good coverage.
