Living in Florida I am always looking for products that do double duty; ie sun protection with moisturizer and color. This addresses all my needs, I just find the color payoff minimal and the balm not real long lasting. My lips continue to dry out after an hour and all color fades away. That being said, I will keep this in the truck to apply to my lips before walking on the beach. However I will still be on the lookout for that long lasting balm with a bit more color payoff. I like this, but can probably find something comparable but less expensive.

A bit waxy, ordered wrong color
I either love or dislike products, and this product didn't work for me. It could be great for someone else, I'm certain. I am a 51 year old woman with blue eyes, pale skin and brown hair. I ordered the color Crush. That was my first mistake. Crush is a dark berry red, a color no self respecting pale, 51 year old should ever wear. The consistency did not work for me, although the waxy feeling was likely the feature that makes it long wearing. That being said, on a younger person, I believe this product and color would work. It is long wearing and a bit sticky, important for sun exposure, and it stains the lip a bit to allow for lasting color even after it wears off. I like Jane Iredale products in general - this one didn't work for me in particular.
