I am very happy with the pigment and the crayon itself. Bright with good coverage. You do need a jumbo sharpener which lovely skin did not have. I ordered a sharpener right from Jane Iredale & I received without having to pay postage.

Lovely color and feel

Jane Iredale always has great products and this lip crayon is one of them. I use to use Merle Norman lip crayons but it would tend to dry my lips. This lip crayon lets me keep the benefit of applying my lip color with more precision and is not drying to the lips. I purchased the color Naughty and love it!

Wonderful color and coverage
I have been looking for a brick/barn red for quite sometime. This is perfect. Nice coverage, matte but not waxy or heavy. I sometimes use Jane Iredale gloss in Sangria over it to give it some shimmer. Love the effect.

Great new lip crayon
I just discovered this "lip crayon" recently and have been using it for about two weeks. I really like this lip crayon. It really has "coverage" (i.e., not sheer), and it goes on very smoothly and is not drying like so many lip pencil type products are. It is fairly long lasting–it won't stay completely there without touch-ups if you eat a lot, especially greasy food/salad dressing–but I find I still usually have some color left. I sometimes wear this alone and sometimes over a long-wearing lipstick (the name of which I'm not sure I'm allowed to mention in this review.) I purchased the color Luscious, and it is very versatile. I'm fair complected, with blonde hair and green eyes if that's of any help as far as the shade.

Very nice formulation. Applies smooth and has good staying power. I didn't find it to settle into lip lines. I do wish there were better swatches for Jane Iredale in general to choose colors on a varied skin tones. Not everyone can get to a brick and mortar store to swatch.

As Rich as Dark Chocolate!
This crayon is creamy and rich and dark and luscious. Hmm. Say dark chocolate in red with staying power. I love it. I never wear red lipstick, but this crayon is fun and I can even put it on lightly with a gloss and it just gives me a nice pop. Wanted something fun for the holidays and I got it!
